Dish Network Equipment
On this page you'll find just about anything you could
possibly want to know about Dish Network equiment, including technical
information for all four generations of receivers and every switch, LNB
and accessory ever produced for Dish Network. Why is this here?
Because, although Dish may be miles ahead of other pay TV providers in
service, reliability, and honesty (although that isn't really saying
much), they can be really secretive and either don't like to or are
unable to give concrete answers to any really technical questions. How
does the Hopper send programming to the Joeys? Does this LNB work with
that receiver? Find out everything you ever wanted to know but were
afraid to ask. Please note that I am (no longer) affiliated with Dish
Network in any way, so general tech support questions like "wha don't
my TV box work no more?" should be directed to Dish Network's support
line at 1-800-333-3474. If you have a question about some obscure piece
of hardware or need to know the best way to hook something up, feel
free to send me an email.
Receivers
Echostar has been producing receivers under the Dish
Network
brand since 1996. There are (currently) four generations of receivers
from dish, "Legacy", Dish Pro, ViP, and XiP - Hoppers and Joeys.
